Long time, no post! I have been super busy with work, life, and enjoying the last few bits of summer. I have really enjoyed this summer with my new hobby of gardening and I am kind of sad that it’s almost over. Gardening was something that I never had interest in before and quite honestly, I would have considered myself as having a black thumb, but after my father died it was a hobby that made me feel closer to him since he always loved farming and gardening. Anyways, I’ve missed you guys and I have tons of new clothes and goodies to talk about, so let’s get to it!
The pictures in the above collage are all outfits from Amazon, believe it or not! I have said this before, but Amazon is so hit or miss with their clothes. You usually have to order a few options to find the one good item, but I look at it like a little treasure hunt. These were some cute fall finds that I recently purchased that will be great now or when it gets colder.
Left-Right:
Brown Sweater Set | White Booties
Black Sweater | Skirt | White Booties
Plaid Coat | Jeans | Kitten Heels
Sweater Dress | Hat | White Booties
This complete look is from Target and I am going to need this sweater dress is all of the available colors. I got the size XS and this is the mauve option, but it also comes in grey, black, and a cream color. The booties are also from Target and they are the perfect heel height for walking around. This is the “bone” color, but they also come in a tan suede that is really cute (and pictured below).
Sweater Dress | Sunglasses | Hat | White Booties | Gold Bracelet
Y’all! It’s finally time to wear my favorite kind of outfits ever- skirts, dresses, sweaters, and booties!
Pink Flats | Green Kitten Heels | Suede Booties | Fuzzy Slippers
Plaid Dress | Bum Bag | Sneakers
Time Cube | Cryo Derm | White Sunglasses
Here are a few random Amazon items from recent weeks – the first one being this time cube which Is supposed to help with productivity. If you are familiar with the pomodoro method, this directly correlates with that time management system and is something that I’ve been trying lately. Key word- trying. I am horrible at time management and have always been such a procrastinator, so we’ll see if it helps. Basically it’s the concept that you set a timer and do one task on your to-do list for 30 minutes, then you get a 5 minute break, then you do another task and get a longer break.
You all know I am ALL about the pain relief creams, gels, rollers, etc. and this is a new one that someone suggested and I think it’s by far the best one I’ve tried. It doesn’t smell as menthol-ey as the Bio Freeze and feels the same which is a win-win for me because sometimes the Bio Freeze smell can be too much.
Etsy Prints for Frame TV | Fall Leaf Garland | Frame TV
I just love my fall setup in the living room. If you have the frame TV you can download photos on Etsy to upload to your art store as screensavers. I think it’s so fun to do seasonal ones as a change from the traditional art options. I got this leave garland from Amazon and next I’m going to tell you about some of my favorite fall candles! `
Baobab White Pearls | Baobab Pearls | Woodfire (only $9.95) | Santal Sandalwood | Byredo Bibliotheque | Grand Chalet
I love fall as much as the next basic fall girl, but I really don’t love traditional fall candles that are scented like a pumpkin spice latte or a caramel apple pie. I like the darker, more wood and musky smells that come along with fall, and these are some of my favorites.
Now let’s move on to the fun stuff – Amazon beauty product reviews. There are some of these items that are repeat offenders and then there are some other ones that are new, so let’s get into what each one does and if I like it or not.
Botanic Tree Glycolic Exfoliating Cleanser: I love a good exfoliating cleanser and I definitely like to incorporate one into my skin washing routine at least 2-3 times a week. Typically, I double cleanse with my Elemis Cleansing Balm and then my Revision Brightening and then as a third step I will go in with this exfoliating cleanser that has gritty grains and little beads that you can feel working to rid your skin of dead cells.
No Nothing Dry Shampoo: this is my favorite dry shampoo hands down because it literally has nothing in it except what you need for dry shampoo. There are no unnecessary scents which I can appreciate and it’s 100% Fragrance free, allergen-free, unscented, asthma approved, and 100% vegan.
Me, Myself, & Eye Refreshing Eye Cream: If you’re looking for a basic new eye cream that won’t break the bank and will still have beneficial properties, this ones for you. Typically I like an eye cream that packs a little more of a punch with some harsh exfoliants 😛 but not everyone needs that and I think this is a great eye cream for someone just needing a basic one or is just starting out with their first eye cream.
Hydrogel Collagen Mask: You all have seen me use these V-Line slimming masks for a year now and I pretty much keep them on autoship. I use these with the Clarins depuffing mask and the eye masks below and you’ve got yourself a trifecta of products.
Hydropeptide Collagel Eye Masks: These are currently my favorite under eye masks. They stick on really well and aren’t slimy feeling, you know, the ones that feel like they are falling off your face after a few seconds? I can also tell and improvement in my puffiness after using these.
Seabuckthorn Best Skin Ever Oil: I don’t know guys, this product sure was hyped up on IG and I have to say I wasn’t htat impressed by it. I think it smells just like any other oil combo cleanser/moisturizer and I really don’t get the cult like following. I will say it did smell good but I didn’t notice any positive benefits the next morning after using it.
Cuccio Cuticle Oil: I’ve ordered this cuticle oil on and off for several years and I really love the light scent and the way it keeps my cuticles manageable. I try to remember to use it every night and even put it on my hands and arms sometimes. It has a very light almond scent and isn’t greasy at all.
