Sneakers are a huge staple in any wardrobe, but they are especially a staple in mine. If I’m not in boots or loafers you will likely find me in sneakers. Pre-quarantine I definitely wore more heels, but the game has changed – those were different times! All kidding aside, I love sneakers and have found two brands in particular that I keep reaching for and purchasing time and time again. GOLDEN GOOSE REVIEW: It’s funny because about 8 years ago I started to see all of these french women wearing sneakers that looked dirty, but they were chic and interesting. As I learned that they were Golden Goose, I of course had to have a pair and ordered my first pair of superstar style, which is the most recognizable style of the Golden Goose family. Since then, I’ve had a few pairs of the superstar, the ballstar style, the midstar style, and now most recently the slide style.
I will say that personally, I think the midstar or ballstar are the most comfortable of the group. I recently got a pair of the slide style which are definitely in the running of being the most comfortable. Really you can’t go wrong with any of them. One thing that does make the GG sneakers worth it, in my opinion, is the leather insole. They show the quality and make them incredibly soft and comfortable.

This style of Golden Goose Sneaker is called the Ballstar Sneaker. It’s identifying trait are the holes in the toe area resembling that of a basketball players sneaker. I think this style is a little sportier and more casual. The high top version of this style is the Mid Star Sneaker.

VEJA REVIEW: Veja sneakers started getting popular about three years ago on the west coast and I’d say started showing up more among my blogger friends in the last year or two. This currently is the only Veja style I own, and I love them! There are several other style, many include laces, one style resembles the GG ballstars, but I love the retro look of the straps and let’s be honest, how convenient are these to throw on?
One of the best things about these sneakers is that they seriously go with everything! I’ve dressed Vejas up with gucci tights and a skirt, then thrown them on with a pair of sweats. They are so versatile and comfortable, plus the price is pretty reasonable in my opinion. If you’re not ready to commit to GG sneakers but want something really on trend Veja is a good option.

GUCCI SNEAKERS REVIEW: So, no this is not GG or Veja, but it this Gucci sneaker is a pair I do love wearing. Gucci is another one of those brands that just seems to always get it right. That’s why when I saw these sneakers I knew they would be a win before I even hit “purchase.” I was not wrong. Of course, you have to like the Gucci colors and brand to think they’re cute, but if you’re looking for a luxe pair of sneaks that stand out these are definitely a fun pair to add to your collection. Also have my eye on this adorable pink pair of sneakers!
