Fall Fashion & Miscellaneous finds –
In the fall you can pretty much find me in pajamas or a sweater dress, there is really no in between. I have always loved turtleneck sweater dresses and this ribbed one from Amazon is affordable and has great reviews. I’ll let you know how it is since it’s arriving today!
I really try not to complain about having to wear a mask because I am all about safety and precautions (hello, I’m an enneagram 6), but dang, wearing any kind of mask for a long period of time just sucks. I have just been wearing a lot of surgical masks lately and after a while even those start to get on my nerves. I have heard great things about the Slip brand of face masks, so I’m excited to try this one.
In that same thought, I also had this cheaper, but similar silk face mask pop up on Amazon and I decided to order it too because, why not right? You can’t have too many masks in 2020. I actually already received this one and I LOVE it! It’s so easy to wear, so breathable, and it even has a metal piece at the nose so you can bend it to fit.
This summer we were all about the jelly bangles and they were so fun to wear with bright and fun dresses, but it’s about to be cold and dark and therefore, I am switching over to heavier and smaller jewelry, like this set of very well-made bracelets from Amazon. I am all about the sets that come with multiple bracelets and these are elastic and very comfortable to wear.
Listen y’all, I grew up with a Mom who had a collection of shower caps and barely washed her hair after she got it done or curled. Over the years I have taken a shower cap here and there from a hotel, but I am shocked to say that I’ve never actually purchased a shower cap. I am constantly finding myself about to get in the shower and not wanting to get my hair wet, and I end up using a plastic bag (no lie) tied in the back as a temporary fix. I got on Amazon and ordered a 4 pack of these and can’t wait to use one!
Are we ice rolling? Are we microneedling? Are we scraping? The answer is that yes, we’re doing them all. I just recently started using this Gua Sha tool for lymphatic drainage on the face and I have to say I really like the results I’m seeing so far. Gua Sha scraping brings circulation to the skin and also drains the lymps on the face, reducing puffiness and eliminating toxins.
I am a sucker for any kind of holiday pajamas and when I saw these and the pumpkin ones at Target, it was a no brainer for me. I love these because they are simple- no buttons or collars, just some stretchy pants and an oversized shirt.
Interior Decor Finds –
Ever since our redecorating process began, I realized I lacked personal photos around our house with the exception of the random ones on the fridge. I wanted to get some nice small frames to put family photos and pet photos in and these from Amazon were perfect. Keep in mind they are quite small, so I had fun playing arts and crafts and cutting up dog pics to fit the frames.
I have noticed a lot of home decor accounts have these glass cloches with candles in them and I kept thinking that it was this specific bougie candle brand that had the glass tops 😛 Then dum dum realized that it’s just a cloche and you can put anything in there. A lot of people put plants, candles, random holiday lights … really you can use them for anything.
I also kept noticing these coffee table books with random cities on the spine. I learned they are all by a brand called Assouline and they aren’t cheap! I started out with the Ibiza one and hope to get another soon.
I was searching for one of these to put on my shelf and found this one on Amazon for a fraction of the price of designer ones. They come in white, blue, green, or purple. These are great to put on shelves or to sit on top of a stack of books.
You all know I am obsessed with my Bissell Pet Stain Carpet Cleaning Vacuum, but I wanted to try this hand held one for smaller spots and things like the couch or bedding. So far I like it, but it definitely doesn’t have the same suction power as the vacuum version.
Outdoor Halloween Decor –
I go ALL out for Halloween every year because it’s one of my favorite holidays being that I love all things creepy and spooky. This year the neighborhood said to really “do it up” for the kids LOL, so I took that as the green light to let it rip.
In addition to my skeleton graveyard, I also have a massive 25ft spider web with two huge fake spiders. This was so easy to put together and it actually looks really cute from the road.
