Typically summer is all about sandals and wedges, but this summer, just like everything else in 2020, is a little bit different. Above are a few of my recent favorite purchases for summer and a few I’ve had for awhile. Each pair serves a specific purposes and is a staple for every summer wardrobe. There’s the dressy heel perfect for summer weddings and bachelorette parties, the designer slides nice enough to take you from poolside to happy hour, or espadrille anything that goes with everything and can be dressed up or down. Between my Birkenstock’s – a huge favorite of mine – and any one of these sneakers, I’m really not wearing much else, except for the occasional sandals and heels mentioned above. If there were ever a time to really get into sneakers, post-quarantine summer 2020 is that time! I’m really excited to start breaking in my two pairs of Veja sneakers I bought before Covid hit.
