Every time I wear my makeup like this lately I always get asked what highlighter I use or what I do to get such glowing skin. The answer is two part: one- it starts with your skincare and the products that you use, and two- you absolutely must find a highlighter that works for your skin, whether that’s a powder highlighter, loose highlighter, a highlighter stick, a highlighter wand … seriously there are so many ways now to make your skin look like JLO. Here are the items that I use step by step to get an everyday glowing makeup look:
St. Tropez Luminous Veil: If I am wanting to add a little color to my skin tone I will put this light and luminous tanner on my face the night before. I like that it gives a nice color and always softens the skin on the face at the same time.
Drunk Elephant Sunshine Drops: I’ve talked about these a thousand times before, but I cannot do my makeup without them now, even if that means just adding in a tiny drop to give a little bit of color. These thick drops mix in with your primer to give a temporary color to your face before applying foundation.
Replenix Antioxidant SPF Sunscreen: When I’m wanting a really nice glow and don’t want to use a heavy foundation I always turn to this Replenix sunscreen that actually has a nice glow without having any excess oils or parabans.
Bye Bye Under-eye Eye-lift in A Bottle: it’s very important that if someone says to get them the Bye Bye under-eye concealer to clarify if they want the regular or the eye-lift in a tube. Personally I tried the regular and hated it, but this eye-lift in a tube is my all time ride or die concealer. One side is a concealer and one side is a brightener.
Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand in Medium: I take this wand all around the outer rim of my face and down the sides of my nose as well as the contour line on my cheeks. I blend it in with a damn beauty blender and get ready for my next step.
Charlotte Tilbury Blush in Love Glow: I love this peachy pink blush because it’s the perfect color for spring and summer and it has a little bit of shimmer to add to your overall glowing look that we’re going for.
Chartlotte Tilbury Magic Wand in Pillow Talk: this is one of the secret weapons for glowing skin, you take this wand and put product on your cheeks, forehead, and in cupid’s bow of lips and on chin and then you blend it in with a damp beauty blender. This is always my favorite step because I love a good glow.
Fenty Beauty Diamond Duo: sometimes I’ll be really extra and take some compacted highlighting powder in a crazy shade like one from Fenty Beauty and do a quick swoop over my face at the ned with a fan brush. I think it just adds a little special touch.
