It had been a couple of weeks since I did a full blown “Ambien and Amazon” order and I was starting to get withdrawals! I signed on the other day and let it rip with some things that I’ve wanted to try plus the standard addition of random things I probably don’t need but got anyways. I think I did pretty good at covering all of the bases since I ordered things from skincare to accessories all the way down to some no show socks! Here are all of the items that I ordered and why:
One- Glitter Jelly Bracelets: Okay, so I had dinner with a friend that lives in NYC and when she walked in I immediately noticed the large stack of gold bracelets on her arm. I love a good bracelet stack, but honestly I’m just lazy when it comes to putting on my nice jewelry, so the thought of wearing 10 gold bangles always stressed me out. I told her I loved her bracelets and she proceeded to tell me that they were rubber gold glitter bracelets that came from Francesca’s (sold out there, don’t worry I checked). I’m telling you all these bracelets from far away looked like the most posh gold bangles and only once you look up close and feel them can you tell that they aren’t real metal. I ordered two packs of 4 and plan on stacking them on one wrist.
Two- No Show Socks: I’ve had such a hard time finding good no show socks because they either fall off in the back or they are too low and allow your skin to still rub on the shoe. I decided to look at Amazon’s top rated no show socks and these were #1. I haven’t gotten them in yet, but as soon as I do I’ll let you all know how they are. They have amazing reviews and most people said they love them because the back doesn’t fall down, so I’m hoping that is the case for me as well.
Three- Glycolic Acid Cleanser: every Dermatologist will tell you that you need some sort of Glycolic Acid product in your skincare routine and this Glycolic Cleanser is an easy and effective way to get in that step. This specific one is in the top 20 best selling beauty items on Amazon right now, so of course I had to order it and test it out myself.
Four- Feather Earrings: I was kind of over feather earrings until I saw these big ones when browsing the statement earring selection on Amazon. I’ve had my fair share of feather earrings in the past and most of the time they are too small or the feather is too thin and janky looking, but these caught my eye because they are huge and the feather portion looks fat and festive. They come in a ton of other colors and are under $10!
Five- Vitamin C Serum: when someone asks me what skincare items they absolutely need to have in their routine I always say that you need at least some sort of Vitamin C serum. This one caught my eye because it’s a superserum that contains some other great ingredients like Retinol, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, Salicylic Acid and many others. At under $20 I figured it can’t hurt to try it out so I ordered one and will report back with how I like it.
Six- No Bulge Wire-Free Bra: If I’m being honest I freaking hate bras. I actually never wear a bra unless I am going out in public for work. Once I get home my bra is the first thing that comes off. I stumbled upon these no wire comfort bras when I was browsing the best selling Amazon items and I decided to give one a try since they are highly rated and have no wires. It appears that they have just enough padding to cover the nips, so that’s good too. If I finally find a good and comfy bra I will shout it from the rooftops, so stay tuned.
Seven- Dumpling Purse: Bottega Venetta released a “dumpling purse” this past spring that everyone has gone wild over, myself included. However, if I’m going to spend over a thousand dollars on a bag it’s going to be a Chanel or Gucci bag, so I knew I would have to find a dupe if I wanted a dumpling bag. This one on Amazon comes in a large size and a small size and even comes with a strap so you can wear it over-the-shoulder or cross body.
Eight- Oversized Woven Buckle Belt: I started noticing this trend last year of huge woven belts with big square belt buckles mostly being worn around the middle of the waist over dresses. There was a Cult Gaia one that I wanted but it was $200 or something so I never purchased it. I was browsing Amazon accessories and came across this cute look-alike for under $10 and figured that I couldn’t go wrong at that price.
Nine- Pillow Pad iPad Holder: I don’t know why it has taken me this long to order this dang thing, especially since I watch TV on my iPad almost every night and constantly struggle with the dogs knocking it over or the case falling down. This little gadget is like a pillow for your iPad so you can prop it up right in front of you and not have to worry about it falling over. I am just a little too excited for this product to come in and I’m hoping it’s a game changer in my Netflix routine.
Ten- Beaded Statement Earrings: I’m a pretty frequent stalker of the Amazon statement earring options and these popped up the other day and were a design that I hadn’t seen before. I love that the beading is very intricate and fun and also that they are a large statement earring. I don’t mess around with any earring that is smaller than 3 inches and these hit just at 3 inches long and also come in a ton of other colors.
Eleven- Collapsable Makeup Bag: This is another items that I’ve wanted for a long time and just never pulled the trigger. I’m one of those people that does their makeup on the floor in front of a mirror. My makeup stays in a plastic makeup case, but after I apply it all stuff is everywhere and never quite makes it back to the makeup case. This collapsable makeup bag has a drawstring that allows you to just lay all your makeup out and then cinch it all up when you’re finished. I also think this will be great for travel since it won’t take up as much space as a rigid makeup case does.
