Recent Amazon Purchases

January 8, 2020

Sweater Set | Earrings | Booties | Bag | Lipstick

I haven’t done a “recent Amazon purchases” post in a while, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been late-night prowling and ordering! Honestly, if I posted every single thing I get on Amazon a week you all would think I was crazy 😛 Here are some items I’ve ordered recently that I feel are worthy of sharing.  I especially love sharing Amazon clothing finds with you all because I know they can be super hit or miss.  Like this two piece sweater dress set? I would have never ordered this if it weren’t for being hours deep into an Amazon binge and seeing it pop up as a similar product to something I’d ordered previously.  That’s the thing about finding clothes on Amazon – you have to DIG.  So let me dig for you and fulfill my late-night internet fix and we can all be happy.

Cream Two Piece Sweater Set: I liked this set so much that I ordered it in 2 colors – cream and green! Don’t be scared by the “one size” sizing because it’s a pretty stretchy material and comes with a tank dress and the cropped sweater to wear over it.  I was very impressed with the quality and the fit despite it coming in one of those vacuum sealed bags and having no garment tag.  If you need something a little more fun than the traditional sweater dress, this is for you!

Floral Nightgown Dress: this is the viral “nightgown dress” that swept the interwebs by storm in summer of 2019.  I was late to the nightgown dress goodness and didn’t order one until August last year and when I finally got around to wearing it on a trip in September I received countless compliments from strangers.  I am going to Phoenix soon so I got it again in this navy floral pattern to wear with booties.  There are several color options including some that are fitting for the winter months, so check it out if you need a comfy and easy dress to wear.

Chandelier Earrings: I go through phases with statement earrings depending on my mood and the weather.  For some reason in the fall and winter I tend to wear studs and easy earrings more and in the spring and summer I will bust out the big statement earrings.  I was having a craving for some fun earrings and found these cascading chandelier earrings for under $20.  They remind me of some much more expensive ones that I saw on Shopbop for $300!

Crewneck Sweater Dress: You all know I can’t pass up a sweater dress and this one by Fincati (which sounds like a type of cheese) had really good reviews.  I love how the crewneck is slightly defined and the goldenrod color seemed like a detour from your everyday black and cream sweater dresses.  I will give the quality of this Amazon dress a 9/10 – I loved it so much that I bought the black as well.  It does have slits on the sides so if that’s not your thing then I would pass.

Tea Tree Oil Body Wash: have you all picked up by now that I’m paranoid about smelling? I was intrigued when I came across this body wash while browsing some highly rated beauty products on Amazon.  It claims to help with a ton of issues including dry skin, psoriasis, body odor, acne, bacne (consider yourself lucky if you’ve never had acne on your back), and ringworm *random*.  I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks as a body wash and to shave and I can’t complain.  I feel like it’s made my skin less itchy and dry in the cold winter months.

Sinus Pillow Eye Mask: since I’m your unlicensed ENT (ear, nose, & throat) expert, I am here to tell you about this aromatherapy sinus eye mask that you heat up in the microwave.  I wouldn’t say that this one product is going to change your life, but it makes a nice addition to the overall PIPM sinus kit that includes the ice roller, sinus rinse, and migraine stick.  I like to throw my sinus pillow on after ice rolling to get a nice hot/cold shock right to the sinuses.

Faux Leather Pleated Skirt: I got some funny graphic tees and needed a cute pleated skirt to wear with them.  I feel like I have exhausted the silk pleated skirts so I decided to try this faux leather pleated one.  I didn’t have high expectations for $23 but I have to say the quality is not bad for the price.  It also comes in black which would probably be a much safer option.

Snail Eye Mask: can you really pass up a 24k gold snail serum eye mask?  The description seriously says, “Contains snail slime, 24k gold and peptide: hydrates your skin reducing wrinkles, dark circles and puffy eyes.”.  Okay, twist my arm.  I do like these for my never ending under-eye puffiness issues and I feel like I can tell a difference when I use them.  I like to keep them in the fridge so they feel nice and cold when applying.

Velvet Headband Pack: here’s the thing about this headband trend right now – no one wants to pay $300 for a headband, so go on with that nonsense.  Every now and then I will be tempted to buy one of the pricey headbands and then I’ll talk myself out of it because you can get the same look on Amazon (and a 4 pack at that) for under $20.  I always end up taking off headbands halfway into wearing them so it behooves me to get the cheap ones.

Patent and Clear Pumps: do you ever see a trend and think to yourself, “ehhhhhh I don’t know about that”?  That’s how I felt with this clear shoe trend (especially the ones that show your toes).  I don’t even want to see people’s toes in the summer so the sudden emergence of smooshed toes in a clear pointed stiletto pump had me triggered.  I decided to compromise with these “half clear, half not” patent leather pumps for under $50 in the black and clear option.  There are literally 30 color options so if you are yearning for a neon or leopard print combo then by all means, go for it.
