You all know that I’m all about random gadgets and ways to make my life easier. I have been trying to compile this post for a couple of months now and I never got around to doing it. I’ve finally had the chance to use a few other items that I think are true game changers to make your life easier and I wanted to include them in this post. I’ve already done a “life hacks” post in the past, and this isn’t necessarily another life hacks post, more so just a post about things I’ve really enjoyed using lately that have made my life a lot easier. So let’s get started!
Ice Roller: I’m sure you all have heard me talk about this device before, but you simply put it in the freezer and roll it on your face every night. I love using the ice roller when my allergies are bad or when I have a headache, but you can really use it any time of the day. I think using this daily definitely helps with puffiness and under-eye bags.
First-Aid Beauty Lip Balm: the only chapstick or lip balm that I’ve bought over and over again is Carmex … until now. I plowed through this First-Aid Beauty Lip Balm in about 3 months and I will be repurchasing soon! I’ve tried a lot of hyped up lip balms and none really do anything for my chapped lips except this one. Give it a try if you have chapped lips!
Saje Wellness Peppermint Halo: if you suffer from headaches, allergies, or sore necks or shoulders you have to get this peppermint oil roller. I will occasionally roll this on my temples and the back of my neck when I have a headache and it does wonders!
Hello Whitening Toothpaste: I have been using this toothpaste for a few weeks and it has really helped whiten my teeth without making them too sensitive. It is a little messy considering it’s a black color so just make sure you splash some water around your sink after you’re done.
Weighted Blanket: I really resisted buying one of these for the longest time because they were not only expensive, but I just didn’t think they would actually work. The hype around the weighted blankets is backed by science and apparently they help people sleep deeper and feel less anxious. I have been using mine for about 3 weeks and now I can’t imagine my life without it. I am definitely sleeping deeper and it just feels so good.
Dry Brush for Shower: I started using this to get off old sunless tanner but now I’m addicted to using it every time I shower! There is a lot of buzz about using a dry brush to increase circulation and to help with cellulite and I can definitely see a difference in just using it for two weeks so I’m going to keep on keeping on! I just put some body wash on mine and go to town, mainly concentrating on the back of my legs and my butt.
Hush White Noise Machine: I’m sure you all know by now that I’m obsessed with white noise machines and use them every single night to sleep. I have this Hush portable one that I take to travel, but I’ve become so addicted to the specific sound that it makes that I now use it every night along with my big one.
Ring Doorbell: I’ve seen people talking about these all over my neighborhood app group and I’ve wanted one for a while. Last week I decided to just get one and install it myself, which was quite the feat. Just know that if you have a brick house you will need a special mortar drill bit and drill to mount the Ring camera onto the brick. So far I am liking being able to see any motions around my door and I love how it keeps a recording if you ever want to go back and look.
Amazon Cloud Cam: I’ve been using this for over a year and I am always showing people how I can watch my dogs during the day with the cloud cam. It’s so easy to set up- you just plug it in and face it towards the area you want to watch. It syncs with your phone and will have a live stream when you open the app. I literally watch my dogs on the camera way too much and the best part is that you can talk to them :p
Silk Pillowcase: I’ve gotten to the point where I have about 5 silk pillowcases in rotation because I can’t live without them. I have a few I keep at home and I have 2 that I travel with so that I am never without them. I seriously can’t get comfortable without them now.
Orabrush Tongue Brush: I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to tell you all about this hidden secret, but I’ve been using this Orabrush tongue brush for about 5 years now. Do you ever eat something and just have a nasty taste in your mouth, even if you brush your teeth after? This special tongue brush has bristles and a bar that scrapes everything off of your tongue. Trust me on this one.
Molekule Air Purifier: I really debated on getting this as it’s quite expensive for an air purifier, but I am so glad that I decided to pull the trigger. I have been seeing ads for this Molekule air purifier forever which touted better air for people with allergies and sinus issues and people with pets. It’s been about a week since we’ve been using it and so far, so good!
And just to note, none of this was sponsored and I actually purchased all of these items myself. Have you all used any of these and if so, what did you think about them?
