I polled you all in the beginning of the year and asked you what kinds of topics you wanted me to blog about this year and I got a lot of requests for a “day in the life” type post, and I’m here to please! Let me warn you that I live a pretty boring life, LOL. I wish I did more exciting things, but I’m pretty much a homebody and introvert, so a lot of nights I am chilling at home with my dogs and Netflix. I am a creature of habit and usually do the same things every single day, so this is definitely somewhat of a version of my daily schedule for your entertainment.
7:00-8:00am: I try to get my ass out of bed. I hate mornings and I am a miserable B in the mornings until around 1pm, so it’s best to just not talk to me until after noon if you’re around me. I will take care of the dogs and get them ready for the day. I usually don’t eat until the afternoon, so I will grab a water or juice while running out the door. I have tried and tried to be a morning person in the past and it’s just not who I am in my core. I now accept that and I am just not mentally with it until about noon.
8:00-9:00am: I try to start my work day sometime in between these hours. I am in sales and work from my car all day, so I am driving around to different offices all day. I will usually roll into a Starbucks or Juice place to get something to drink after my first couple of offices. I have been intermittent fasting for years before I even knew it was a thing. I am just not really hungry in the mornings and don’t really eat anything until mid-afternoon or dinner some days. Some days I’ll have a work lunch and if that’s the case I’ll just eat whatever I get catered, but I usually don’t eat a lot.
Noon-1pm: If I don’t have a work lunch I will usually hit up a local Starbucks or coffee shop and use this time to work on blog stuff. I will answer emails, work on future posts, and play around on the internet. If I’ve already been to Starbucks that morning I will usually get another drink but a tall one and decaf just to have something to sip on. I try to wrap things up around 1pm to get back in the field for work.
1:30-4:00pm: I am back out going to offices for work, listening to true crime podcasts on my drives, and the occasional book on tape. Click here to see my favorite podcasts and books on tape. If you are in your car all day like me, they are a life changer. If I’m not listening to a Podcast or Book on Tape, I will usually listen to the Sirius XM Chill or BPM station to keep me energized throughout the day.
4:00-5:00pm: I am usually wrapping up work and will run any errands that I need to run for the day including facials, spray tans, working out, that kind of thing. Every day is different and some days I am driving out-of-state for work and may not get back until 6 or so. I usually try to pick up some food for Rob and I if I am out, otherwise we will make something at home or get Uber Eats.
5:00-7:00pm: By this time I am home and tending to the dogs- letting them out, taking them on a short walk to do their business, feeding them, and all that jazz. Rob usually gets home and we will figure out dinner and sit down and talk about our days. We will usually take the dogs on a short walk if it’s warm enough. We try to hang out during this time because Rob goes to bed around 8-9pm, so I try to use this time to hang out.
7:00-10:00pm: This is usually my creeping time. I will set up shop in the bed with my laptop and my iPad (how I watch TV and shows). I will start working on blog stuff, answer emails, send out pitches, engage on Instagram, answer DMs, and all of the stuff that goes with the blogging world. I usually always have something on in the background, whether it’s a show on Netflix or music from Spotify or Pandora. I will try to complete the next day’s blog post in the time frame. Sometimes I don’t feel like it and will just close the laptop and call it a day. If we’re going on an upcoming trip I will use this time to research and plan.
10:00pm-Midnight: This is what time I try to go to bed. I will wind down with my pillow spray, turn on my 15 noise machines, take the dogs out one last night for the night and put on my Calm app. I’ll get the jade roller fired up and apply my 10 different face serums and do a rolling session before bed. I will usually troll on IG until I get tired enough to fall asleep. I know they say that’s awful but it honestly puts me to sleep every single night. If I can’t sleep I’ll take an Ambien (I have a prescription because I have really bad insomnia).
Middle of the Night: I have awful insomnia and have for years, so I am used to it by now. I usually wake up randomly in the middle of the night (sometimes once, sometimes more) and I will play on my phone until I fall back to sleep. So if you ever see me creeping, commenting, liking or anything on IG at 3 in the morning, that is why!
And that’s it folks, riveting stuff here! I am so boring- LOL. Was this interesting at all?
