Life is hard at times and I am all about products to help make your life more simple and streamlined. If I can get away with only washing my hair once a week, that sounds good to me. If I can take a shot of something once a day to make my skin produce more collagen, I’m all about that. If I can roll my face with an ancient Chinese stone that will get rid of wrinkles and puffiness, sign me up. I decided to put together a little collage of my most favorite life hack products at the moment.
Jade/Rose Quartz Roller– do we all know what this is yet? I feel like I talk about it incessantly and you all probably always see it on my stories on IG. If you haven’t bought one yet, what are you waiting for? This magic thing will help with the puffiness on your face and will also help with fine lines and wrinkles. I like to put mine in the fridge before I use it so it’s nice and cold on my face. I usually roll every night for about 10 minutes on and off when I’m laying in bed watching Netflix.
Jabra Bluetooth Wireless Headphones– I’ll admit that when I started seeing everyone wearing wireless headphones and airpods I was wondering why anyone would want to keep up with two little contraptions that go in your ear. I lose things easily and I just knew that I would end up losing them, so I never looked into them. If you watch my stories you probably know that Rob goes to bed super early and while he can pretty much sleep through anything, I like to use headphones so I don’t wake him up. I love these Jabra headphones because they are really comfortable in your ear and have a nice little charging case that charges them when you’re not using them.
Nordstrom CZ Earrings– I have a pair of small diamond studs, but I’m always so worried about losing them or one of them falling out. I ordered these CZ studs on Nordstrom a couple of years ago and I wear them all the time. I don’t know why, but in the winter I don’t really like wearing huge earrings like I do in the spring and summer, so I typically just wear these every day and I don’t have to think about it. I’ve actually repurchased these twice because, as you can guess, I lost them.
LipSmart Chapstick– this is my favorite lip treatment by a long shot. I have chronically chapped lips and I’ve always been addicted to Carmex (and still do use it on occasion). I found this LipSmart chapstick at a local medspa and bought it on a whim one day because I couldn’t find my chapstick. It goes on like silk and just feels so smooth and not sticky at all. If you have chapped lips or just need a daily chapstick option, you should try this one out.
Marpac Hushh Portable White Noise– I am such a high maintenance sleeper and I have to have a perfect storm of things going on to get some good sleep. I love my normal big Marpac sound machine, but I always dreaded taking it when I travel because it’s big and takes up space. I got this portable Marpac Hushh on Amazon and I am obsessed with it. I even use it nightly in addition to my regular Marpac sound machine. A lot of people say to just use an app on your phone, but more than once my alarm hasn’t gone off because of these white noise apps and I can’t be paranoid about not waking up to my alarm, so I just use this.
Silk Scrunchies– I am addicted to scrunchies to begin with, but silk scrunchies will change your life. I love scrunchies because they don’t pull your hair, hurt your scalp, or cause lines or damage in your hair. I will use one of these at night once I’ve got my hair wrapped up in a bun and this scrunchie makes sure I can wake up with no lines in my hair. It definitely helps to extend the life of my curls and hair style when I’m trying to go a few days without washing.
Black Elderberry Supplements– are you trying to not get sick this winter? Is everyone around you coughing up a lung and sneezing non-stop? I heard about black elderberry last year and started taking it during the winter months. As soon as it started to get cold again this year, I was taking 4 of these things a day and so far, knock on wood, I haven’t been sick yet this year. We get ours on Amazon for 6 dollars or you can get them at your local drugstore. They even make gummy elderberry supplements, but I will warn you that they taste pretty gross.
Saje Peppermint Oil Roller– if you have headaches or sinus issues you really need to get this peppermint oil blend roller. I use this thing all over my head and neck and it kicks in after 20 minutes or so. I can’t really explain what it does, but it starts tingling and takes away any headache or tension that you have in your neck or head. I’m a firm believer in this stuff and I’ve reordered it twice since I got my first one about a year ago.
Evolve Silk Bonnet– along with the silk scrunchies, you also need to get yourself a silk or satin bonnet. Every night I wrap my hair into a bun and secure it with the silk scrunchy. I then take the silk bonnet and secure it over my entire head. This method that I’ve been using for a couple of months ensures that my hair doesn’t get all messy from bedhead and also keeps my extensions from getting ratty. Anyone can use this method and extend your hairstyle for a few days without having to wash your hair.
Collagen Shots– One of the most well-known benefits of collagen is its ability to promote glowing, vibrant skin. This essential protein provides elasticity to the skin, helping it to appear more youthful and healthy. As you get older and collagen production declines, fine lines, loose skin, and dryness can occur which are all things we don’t want on our faces. I really can tell a difference when I’m taking collagen versus when I’m not taking it. I can’t really explain it, but it’s like my skin is more supple and smooth.
Marpac Dohm White Noise Machine– While I do love the travel sized white noise machine, there is no comparison to the original Marpac Dohm white noise machine. I’ve used one of these for about 5 years and I seriously cannot sleep without it. If you’ve never heard or use one of these before and you have trouble sleeping at all, please give it a try! It makes the most pleasant and peaceful white noise and drowns out any background noise that might wake you up (ahem Ronnie and dogs).
Felt Purse Oraganizer– I don’t know why I waited so long to get one of these because Lord knows my everyday purse (my Goyard St. Louis GM tote) is like a black hole for anything that gets put inside of it. I got one of these felt purse organizers on Amazon and my life is forever changed. There are so many pockets for everything you could think of and it also keeps your purse upright and shaped so it doesn’t fall in on the sides.
Megababe Rosy Pits Deodorant– YOU GUYS! I have been on the hunt for a natural deodorant for years and I have finally found the one that I think is my favorite. I was randomly at Ulta and I saw the packaging of this deodorant and thought I’d give it a try. I already love anything that’s rose scented, so I was naturally drawn to the scent. But what is even better is that is works, and it works really well! This is probably the first natural deodorant that I have used that I don’t have to reapply multiple times a day.
Gold Facial Massage Tool– before you’re like, “girl, you just talked about the jade roller, how many things do I need for my face?”, just know that you need this one too, ok? You can get a pack of two gold vibrating face things in a pack for $20 on Amazon. Just pop some AA batteries in these and voila, you will immediately have smooth and contoured skin on your face. I will usually use my jade roller first for about 10 minutes with my facial oil and then I’ll go in with this one and roll for another 10 minutes.
Have you all tried any of these items? If so, let me know in the comments!
