One– I think I’m having a mid-life crisis, without being mid-life if that makes sense? LOL. I am in a weird spot in my life where I have a few friends left that don’t have kids and they are my homies right now. We go on trips, we hang out, we act immature, but there’s a fear that soon these girls will have kids and I will be left behind. Do I have a kid just because I feel the societal pressure? I genuinely think I’d be a great Mom and I want to be a Mom at some point, but I am getting old and time is running out. However, I’ll be honest, I’m just not ready to give up my carefree life yet. But do I want to be 60 years old at my child’s college graduation? I also have a huge fear of “losing it” if I have a child. I am already not the most mentally stable person (joking, kind of) and will having a child cause me to go off the edge? These are genuine concerns and fears of mine.
Two– I am so sick of the typical Instagram influencer people who are popular right now. Everyone wears the same things, promotes the same products, goes on the same trips together, does the same try on sessions for the same stores on their stories. It’s just so. boring. You all know I’ve always danced to the beat of my own drum and I’m in a place where I so appreciate the influencers and bloggers who are authentic and don’t feel like they have to appeal to the masses. I don’t know why I felt the need to type that today, but I’m just so tired of seeing the same damn clones on IG.
Three– I’m trying to figure out where Rob and I are going to go on our 10 year anniversary trip this May. I polled my Instagram peeps this morning and I think most people are saying Italy. We’ve only been to Milan and honestly, I wasn’t that much of a fan of Milan. Our options right now are 1) Florence, Rome, Positano, Amalfi 2) Barcelona, Madrid, Portugul 3) South of France and possibly Morroco 4) Greece and Croatia. If anyone has any feedback or tips please let me know because I need to get to planning pretty soon!
Four– How many of you all have seen the Fyre Festival documentaries yet on Hulu and Netflix? OMG they are so good! Even if you have no idea what the Fyre Festival is, you need to watch because both documentaries touch on the ever-fascinating influencer world and how millennials are taking over. I mean, I am a millennial, so I feel like I can say that 😛 Just trust me on this one, start with the one on Hulu and then watch the one on Netflix and let me know what you think.
Five– I’m thinking about going strictly to a plant-based diet. What do you all think? I am already a vegetarian and I’ve done vegan briefly before a few years ago, but I think it’s time to try something new. I have been dealing with some weird skin issues like eczema and a lot of people say that plant-based diets can help. I’ve slowly been transitioning my coffee drinks over to almond milk or soy and besides that I really don’t eat much dairy anyways unless it’s in a baked good. If you’ve had any luck with this, let me know what you think.
Have a great week, friends!
