I’ve written before about how we love to take trips around Holidays since we both work full time and have to take advantage of the days off that we get from work. I’ve wanted to go to London for as long as I can remember and it just seems like every time I tried to talk Rob into going (he’s been before) he would think of some other place for us to go. I think I harassed him for long enough that he finally decided to go with me this Christmas holiday!
Stop 1: London, England – we will be in London for 4 days and I’d love to do the typical touristy things like see Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Tower of London, etc.
Stop 2: Bourton-on-the-water, Cotswolds – I’ve always heard the Cotswolds are beautiful and to be able to see the area in the winter time will be a real treat. I am envisioning little cottages like in the movie The Holiday. There are several towns in the Cotswolds, so let me know your favorite if you’ve been!
Stop 3: Edinburgh, Scotland – I told Rob that since we’re in the UK we might as well make time for Scotland since it’s so close. I’ve always wanted to see the various castles in Scotland and Edinburgh seemed like a great home base for our short time there.
Have you all been to any of these places, and if so, what tips do you have for those areas?
