AFT Laser + Venus Viva

If you are like me and get freckles merely by walking outside into the heat, you have probably thought about getting some sort of laser for hyperpigmentation at least once before.  I have the type of skin that becomes discolored even while wearing SPF 50, so regular maintenance is key in keeping my spots at bay.  I’ve done some lasers in the past and I was looking for something to really help the spots that I’ve accumulated over the summer.

A Beautiful You Medspa offers a double dose package of the AFT laser (similar to IPL) and the Venus Viva.  You go in and get the AFT laser first which really just feels like a hot rubberband lightly snapping on your face.  It’s really not bad at all, I promise.  AFT (Advanced Fluorescence Technology) is the next generation of Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) laser treatment technology that improves the texture, tone, and appearance of skin with minimal downtime.

After your AFT treatment which takes about 10 minutes, you move over to the Venus Viva room and immediately start this treatment.  The Venus Viva is harder for me to explain as it kind of feels like a little metal bug crawling on your face while giving electric pulses.  Venus Viva is a non-surgical solution for skin resurfacing that corrects signs of skin damage and improves the appearance of acne scars and other scars, stretch marks, rosacea, enlarged pores, deep wrinkles, and uneven skin texture and pigmentation.

So, in summary, you go in and get these two treatments as a duo, back to back.  You will need to do these treatments at least 4 times to see results, spaced out 4 weeks apart.  Of course, I will keep you all updated and will share my before and after pictures when I finish my round of treatments.
