The Rundown: I was having a bad breakout and asked my friends at La Bella Skin Bar what they recommended to remedy the situation. Kate, the esthetician there, recommended a retinol peel followed by the Intraceuticals Oxygen Infusion treatment.
Having adult acne really sucks sometimes. There’s nothing worse than getting those deep bumps that you can feel under your skin. Most of the time I can handle the breakouts and wait them out, but last week I had just had enough so I had the professionals step in! We all know retinols are essential for great skincare, but sometimes you have to kick it up a notch with a higher percentage retinol peel and that’s exactly what we did! The retinol peel doesn’t sting or anything, but it packs a punch!
One of my favorite treatments to get, hands down, is an oxygen treatment added on to a peel or a facial. Before my wedding I got a set of 6 oxygen treatments and it made such a difference for making my skin look glowing and plumped for my big day. I think they are really the icing on top to any facial treatment. I have tried the Intraceuticals Oxygen Treatments many times and I am always pleased with the results. I also think their skincare line is great and I used the facial serum for a long time back in the day. After I got this facial and oxygen treatment, Kate used the products on me and I was immediately taken back to why I loved them all those years ago- they smell great and they really do work.
Unlike other oxygen facials, which atomize or spray oxygen on the skin, the Intraceuticals Topical Hyperbaric Oxygen System uses therapeutic oxygen under hyperbaric pressure to infuse a special serum of modified hyaluronic acid, essential vitamins, botanicals, antioxidants and amino peptides to the skin.
I am happy to report that the next day my breakout was totally diminished and you could barely tell it was there! I highly recommend this combo if you are dealing with zits, dull skin, or just need a refresh!
