One– I started a new podcast a couple of weeks ago that I think you all would like – it’s called Teacher’s Pet and it’s about a male teacher who had an affair with a student and shortly after his wife turned up missing. It’s an Australian podcast, so if accents aren’t your thing then you won’t like this one, but I thought it was pretty easy to follow along and it certainly kept my attention. For you podcast newbies, all you have to do is go to your podcast app on your iPhone (most have it already installed) and search the podcast you want to listen to … the best part is that it’s free!
Two– I’m excited for a new mystery show to premiere this week on Hulu. I remember seeing ads for Castle Rock on my IG like 6 months ago and thinking that it looked like a show I would love. I can’t believe they were advertising for it that long ago, but it will be out on Wednesday. It is based off of a Stephen King book and is produced by JJ Abrams, so you know it’s going to be good. You can watch the trailer here.
Three– does anyone else feel like the Nordstrom Sale has kind of died out? I know that in years past they would restock popular items that sold out from early access during public access, but they said they weren’t doing that this year. I think that’s frustrating because people get you all hyped up about particular items and then they are sold out. I almost regret even posting about it at all now … it seems like it was a waste of time. And honestly, I feel weird for buying three sweaters that I won’t be able to wear until November, but I’ll probably still keep them :/
Four– I can’t remember if I told you all about this, but I read one of the best books I’ve read in a long time a couple of months ago called “Sometimes I Lie”. It’s a gripping psychological thriller about a girl in a coma but she can’t remember how she got there – lots of twists and turns. I decided to continue with the “lie” theme and get “Silent Lies” after that and to be honest, I just can’t get into it. I am trying to give it another shot though and have been listening in my car and on my nightly walks. Does anyone have any other book recommendations?
Five– I need a really good sunless tanner recommendation. I have been getting spray tans here and there, but I need something to keep up with the tan in the days where it starts to come off. I’ve been pretty conservative with sunless tanners in the past by just using the “gradual tan” types, and I think I’m finally ready to use something that may have a little more color (and faster development). Please let me know if you have any that you love that are fool-proof (because I’m lazy) and aren’t too dark, but still give a good color. I’ve been all about embracing my paleness, but truth be told, it just looks so bad in pictures. I look translucent half of the time and I really think it washes me out in pictures.
Have a great Tuesday!
