There are so many hotel options in New York City, so when we were looking for a hotel for fashion week we knew that we wanted to be centrally located and within walking distance of some cool spots to take pictures. I researched quite a few hotels and we were lucky and fortunate enough to get to work with Yotel Times Square to review their rooms.
The first thing that I loved about Yotel in my research was the fact that they are affordable. I love a luxury hotel as much as the next person, but when you’re trying to have money to shop and eat, the hotel costs can add up quick. The average Yotel room charge is around $89 a night for the Premium Queen cabin which is the type of room that we had during our stay (just to note we took the pictures above in the premium suite so we could have extra space). Here are pictures of the Premium Queen Cabin, which is where we stayed.
I also loved the functionality of the space in the rooms. I’m not going to lie, the rooms were small, but they served their purpose well and there was well-thought out space for everything, whether that was the extra space around the TV on the wall or the sections under the bed to store your suitcase.
The Yotel was just right around the corner from Times Square, so you could easily walk out the front door and be at the center of all the action in 10 minutes. A lot of the shows and meetings that we had were more downtown in SoHo and the Chelsea area, so we were able to easily get an Uber and be there in 20 minutes with traffic.
We got to eat at the Yotel restaurant, Green Fig, two times during our visit and both times were absolutely delicious. The restaurant has a cool vibe and at night the bar is really fun and busy. There is also a little snack section with a coffee bar where you can grab breakfast and coffee to go. Every morning I would go down to get our coffee and the barista was nice enough to remember me and my order every day which was pretty impressive being that I was only there for 3 days.
Overall I can’t say enough good things about our experience at the Yotel Times Square. If you are looking for an efficient place to stay that doesn’t break the bank, this hotel is definitely for you.
