Thank you to Hasbrouck House for providing a free stay in exchange for an honest review of the property.
My favorite place that we stayed on our trip was by far Hasbrouck House in Stone Ridge, New York. If you are ever going to be up in the Hudson Valley area you absolutely must stay at this 18th century Dutch colonial stone mansion that is less than 2 hours away from NYC. From the second we pulled up I knew it was going to be nothing short of wonderful. Every little detail was so well thought out and the ambiance and vibe was so cozy, welcoming, and enticing.
Our favorite room in the whole place was most definitely the library – the wallpaper was so unique and the roaring fire made it a great room to warm up, enjoy apple cider, and chit-chat or read the paper. They had plenty of books, papers, and games to keep you busy on the coldest of nights if you wanted to sit by the fire and chill.
We dined at their in-house restaurant, Butterfield at Stone Ridge, and the food was so delicious. Afterwords we went to the Butcher Bar which is attached to the restaurant and had some drinks. They also have a campfire every night where you can roast marshmallows and make smores. I told you- they’ve thought of every little detail to make your stay the best!
They keep an old model-T car parked out front which just adds to the million reasons why this place was the best place ever. I seriously would love to live here. We stayed in the stable loft “room 17” and slept in the coziest king bed. I was really sad to have to leave Hasbrouck House, and I even bought two of their signature candles to remember my stay there! Trust me when I say that you need to experience this place if you ever have the chance- it was unforgettable!
