Just to preface this post, there will be a full post up soon about our entire Hudson Valley trip as a whole and how we navigated and planned for it and all of the stops and mansions that we visited, however, this post is solely about Cedar Lakes Estate. Thank you to Cedar Lakes Estate for providing us lodging in exchange for a review of your establishment.
Our first stop on our Hudson Valley Extravaganza was right outside of NYC in a town called Port Jervis, NY. Cedar Lakes Estate actually used to be an Olympic Training Camp in the 80’s and 90’s and was converted over to a wedding venue, private events venue, and cottage retreat for anyone wanting to get away and relax in the tranquility of the mountains and open spaces.
The first thing we noticed when driving up to Cedar Lakes Estate was the beautiful lake that hugs the grounds. There are several dock areas and this one above was our favorite. Cedar Lakes Estate is a favorite wedding venue and I can definitely see why- there are so many spaces to explore and see and the possibilities are endless for wedding planning.
Another great reason to visit Cedar Lakes Estate is by far the view from the top of the hill. You can see the beautiful rolling hills of New York and New Jersey. Our tour guide informed us that this is where most people choose to hold their wedding when renting out the Estate for a wedding venue.
The cabins were absolutely adorable- there are simply no other words to describe them. Some of them come equipped with kitchenettes and fireplaces and they all have a rustic chic theme. When you have a wedding here you actually get the entire property, so all of your guests can stay in one place.
Overall, I would absolutely recommend staying at the Cedar Lakes Estate for a quick little getaway if you live in the NYC area or even if you just want to explore Hudson Valley and need to stop along the way. The experience was out-of-this world and I am already planning on when I can go back to visit again!
