When I heard about this campaign I jumped at the opportunity to participate, because, let’s be honest- blogging has changed SO much over the past few years. I think it’s so cool people that are my Mom’s age are blogging and starting fashion instagram accounts. I actually love following women like this because I think it’s so cool that there is something for all age groups.
To give you a brief 411 on this campaign, 50 “millennials” and 50 “over forty” bloggers were matched and paired off. You were given your partner and the goal was to meet, chat, talk on the phone, and learn about your partner to help “bridge the gap” between the ages.
I’d like to introduce you to my adorable partner, Paula, of Dimples on my What? blog. Paula is a wife, mother, grandma and fellow true-crime loving lady from Indiana who started her blog after realizing that along with aging (don’t we know it) comes dimples on literally every part of your body. I am 32 and can attest to this … I swear I get more dimples on my what with every passing year.
As I was saying before, I think it’s so cool that people of all ages blog. I actually was thinking a while back to myself, “I wonder when this blogging gig will run out … I probably have at least 8 more years, right?” I went to NYFW and saw TONS of bloggers over 40 and that gave me hope that this is a longterm gig and sorry y’all, but you may be seeing me for a long time if the internet is still cool in 10 years.
I talked to Paula on the phone for about an hour and we discussed all things blogging and how we both got to where we are today. It’s so amazing that we are both in different seasons of life, but were able to connect and exchange tips and tricks. I wish I lived closer to Paula because I’d love to meet her in person. We said that hopefully one day we will get to meet at a blogging conference or something.
